Goan sojourn

After a boooring bus journey where everyone but the self dozed off like descendents of Kumbhakaran we reached Goa on a dark, bleak and gloomy morning with the heavens pouring down their bounty withholding nothing. Quite like my state of mind at that point. Not a very promising start to a Goan vacation when all one really wants is sun, surf and curvaceous beauties in bathing suits (and a little barley-ferment to keep one cool ;-) ). But then magically the skies suddenly cleared out and the blues shifted residence from my heart to the sky. What followed was 3 days of the greatest fun and relaxation that I’ve ever had. The resort we were staying at, The Holiday Inn , was amazing, to say the least. The food was ummm…delicious, a well laid out buffet with the yummiest desserts I have ever had occasion of helping myself to. And boy! Did I help myself, gorging up in 3 days what would otherwise have been a week’s diet. The resort was not, as one would expect during the monsoons, bursting at the seams. However there were a fair number of honeymooners honeymooning at the resort. The thing about honeymooners honeymooning is that they can scarcely keep their hands to themselves and are always too eager to get on with it that they can scarcely wait to get to their rooms. As a consequence, the voyeurs in us little innocent souls was abundantly titillated by the sight of people canoodling on beaches, petting in swimming pools, the works, basically for here I am tempted to get very graphic in my description. That however did remind me of the unfortunate (though one can never be sure ) absence of that someone special in my life and made me a little green ( and horny!)We did a lot of things there besides the usual staple of ogling at the beauties-in bathing-suits, playing on the beach, lazing around in the pool and hogging food like there’s no tomorrow which I would rather not mention here. On the whole a very enjoyable experience. It was with a heavy heart and reluctant steps that I boarded the bus back home. And for 2 days now, I’ve been nursing a severe hangover for the transition back to civilization has been neither smooth nor easy. All I wanna do right now is get back on the beach. Goa, I’ll be back!!
